Running

Kenya is popularly known as the ‘Home of Champions’.  Her world-class athletes consistently dominate events across the globe. Pick any long-distance race and you will often find that up to about 70 or 80 percent of its winners since the late 1980s have been Kenyans.

Get a chance to spot and join world champions in their training ground and learn what makes them successful. You can also choose to participate in the various running events in the country like the Lewa Marathon at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The Lewa Marathon is a charitable event that attracts runners from around the world and supports education, health, community development and wildlife conservation projects across Kenya.

Biking

One of the best ways to explore the magic of Kenya is on a bicycle.  The greatest cycling experience in Kenya is on quiet paths in the Rift Valley, Maasai Mara, Laikipia and the Kenyan coast.  Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha also provides an excellent cycling experience for bikers. Cycling in the wild is a great way to get some fresh air, exercise and learn about the local communities.  You can rent a bike that matches your physical fitness level from your local tour operator or private bike rental providers in the country.
