Moored ten kilometres north of Mombasa city centre along Nyali Road in Nyali, Voyager Beach Resort’s convenient ‘berth’ gives guests easy access to a huge variety of historical, sporting and cultural attractions, including Africa’s largest crocodile farm and the world-famous Haller Park (formerly Bamburi Nature Trail).


Fashioned along the lines of a luxury cruise ship, the MV Voyager is about to take you on a wonderful voyage of the sea with no creature comfort spared. The Voyager Beach Resort is one of a kind on the shores of the Indian Ocean, built in the style of the old forts that once guarded the sea front complete with white washed lookout turrets and cannons, fringed by a fascinating coral reef and sparkling blue waters, just waiting for you to dive in.


The Voyager’s Cabins are built with private balconies fitted with glass floor to ceiling sliding doors to give you uninterrupted views of the spread of the ocean and the tropical gardens. Depending on your taste, there is a selection of four cabin types to choose from with your comfort as the underlying principle.

The Superior Sea Facing Cabins


For water lovers who want uninterrupted panoramas of the endless ocean and the sky, with the refreshing sea breeze, the superior sea facing cabins are just for you. Spacious, with all creature comforts fitted in, life’s a breeze on board The Voyager.

The Superior Garden Cabins

Set on beautifully landscaped gardens of colourful tropical flowers, towering palms and ponds, the Superior Garden Cabins are spacious, opening to the private balconies edged by the lush green lawns.

All the Superior Garden Cabins – are tastefully done – simple elegance complete with every modern amenity to make the passenger feel right at home. They are ideal for passengers on a longer cruise with space for comfort.

The Garden View Plus Cabins

If you prefer to be closer to deck, in the midst of it all, the garden view plus cabins are ideal. Similar to the superior sea facing cabins – with expansive views of the garden and glimpses of the ocean, you’re closer to the pools, the restaurants, and the where the action is.

Hotel Check-in and Check-out

Normal checkout time is 10am. For early check-in you may need to book the night before. Day rooms can usually be reserved up to 6pm for departures in the evening.

Getting there

After a 40-minute flight from Nairobi, you will be transferred to the resort which is on Nyali Road in Nyali, 10 kilometres north of Mombasa town (20 kilometres from the airport).

The Moi international airport in Mombasa is serviced daily by Kenya Airways, Fly540, Mombasa Air and Air Kenya from Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Malindi Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, as well as many international charters.
